Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford is an American actress singer and dancer. As a young actress, she appeared in Broadway roles, she played her role in Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. She received an award from the Tony Award for Best Featured actor in a Play to play Essie Carmichael from You Can't Take It With You. Tony Award-winning actress Annaleigh Ashford spent the majority of her time working with some of the most acclaimed actors and directors across stage film and television and she continues that award-winning work with several upcoming projects. Ashford can be seen next as a co-star with Kumail Nanjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu exclusive Welcome to Chippendales. It will premiere on 22nd November. Ashford is currently involved in Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust with Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. The film is a Hulu Original and will be streamed via Disney DTC. Ashford returns to Broadway in the month of March 2023 with the role of Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production takes place at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. Thomas Kail, director and producer of Hamilton will lead the production. Ashford was most recently seen as Paula Jones in Ryan Murphy FX show American Crime Story Impeachment. This show is based around the National Crisis that saw Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky Linda Tripp as the central figure in the country's First Impeachment Proceedings in Over 100 Years. She was the star of two seasons on CBS Comedy B Positive. The show was written by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also featured Ben Vereen and Hector Elizondo. Also, she has been on Broadway in Sunday in the Park With George Wicked, Legally Blonde and the first part of Lauren as Lauren in Kinky Boots for which she received a nomination for a Tony Award. Ashford is an Denver resident who splits his time between Los Angeles.
